SHAUNA WILLIAMS KEVIN COLEMAN

X DURHAM, N.C. — The Rev. William Henderson officiated at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 13, 2007, at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church for the wedding of Shauna Marlene Williams and Dr. Kevin Maurice Coleman. A reception was held at The Hilton.

After a honeymoon at Puerto Vallerta, Mexico, the couple live in Durham.

Parents of the bride are Rosie K. Williams of Youngstown and the late Robert A. Williams Sr., and the groom’s parents are Ora Coleman of Mesa, Ariz., and Willie Coleman of Chicago.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Robert A. Williams Jr.

Matron of honor was Michelle Cummings, and bridesmaids were Toni Brady and Dr. Cassandra Harewood. Junior bridesmaid was Aleighna Williams, and flower girl was Kierstin Cummings.

Kalvin Coleman and Mark Coleman were best men, and groomsman was Dr. Eric Miller. Junior groomsman was Devin Williams, ring bearer was Justin Jones, and bell ringer was Jason Jones. Ushers were Christopher and Julian Williams, and also participating were Lisa Kendall, Dwan Kelsey and Shinel Stephens.

A graduate of Ohio State University and Duke University, the bride is a patient-resource manager at Duke University Medical Center and a family nurse practitioner with Minute Clinic. The groom, a hospitalist with Duke Durham Regional, graduated from Arizona State University and earned his medical degree at Baylor University.
