History club has children’s event set for Saturday

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Historical Center will have its Children’s History Club from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday at 151 W. Wood St. The program is titled, “Railroads In the Days of Steam.” Young historians “ride the rails” with early steam engines, study railroad lore and build an early steam engine and rolling stock. History club is for young historians between the ages of 8 and 12. A snack is provided. Advance registration is required — call (330)743-5934. The cost is $10 for Ohio Historical Society members and $12 for all others.
