Canfield sets schedule for brush pickup
CANFIELD — The annual brush pickup program begins the week of April 21 in the northeast quadrant of the city and continues for four to five weeks.
The northeast quadrant consists of streets to the north of Main Street and east of Broad Street.
Pickup of brush and tree limbs will occur in each quadrant of the city for about a week. Residents are advised to have their brush out at the street on the Sunday night before their designated week, said Chuck Tieche, city manager.
The other quadrant dates are:
U Southeast (south of Main and east of Broad), week of April 28;
U Southwest quadrant (west of Broad Street and from Bradford Drive south), week of May 5; and
U Northwest quadrant (west of Broad Street and from Bradford Drive north), week of May 12.
The city asks that branches be cut to lengths of less than 10 feet and diameters of less than 3 inches. Roots of any type are prohibited because the materials are fed into a chipper that cannot process roots.
