Exhibition slots sell out for home, garden show
NORTH LIMA — The Home Builders/Remodelers Association of Mahoning Valley has sold out all of its exhibition slots for its HBA Home Garden Show, which will be April 11-13 at Eastgate Commerce Park on Market Street in North Lima. Show times will be from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Consumers who attend the show will see a variety of products and services, including builders, remodelers, window replacement, bathroom/kitchen remodeling, roofing, glass block, financial services, spas, hot tubs, pools, banking, decorative concrete and curbing.

Shenango Valley group elects board, officers
HERMITAGE, Pa. — Robert Sandora, vice president of operations of Solar Atmospheres, and John Rademacher, president of Performance Processing, were elected to the board of directors of the Shenango Valley Industrial Development Corp. at its annual meeting.
Officers retained for 2008 were chairman, James Grasso of Liberty Steel Products in North Jackson; vice chairman, Richard Epstein of Ekker, Kuster, McConnell Epstein in Sharon, Pa.; secretary, Anthony Zucco of Penn Power in Clark, Pa.; treasurer, Dennis Lieb of Quaker Steak and Lube in Sharon; and assistant treasurer, Martin Gargano of Libeg, Gargano and Bell Associates in Hermitage.
Sandora and Rademacher are new members of the board. Re-elected for three-year terms were current directors Epstein, Thomas Gilson, Grasso, Lieb, William Strimbu, Paul Tomko and Zucco.
Library, SCORE plan small-business seminar
AUSTINTOWN —A small-business seminar will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. April 14 at the Austintown library, 600 S. Raccoon Road. The session is designed for people who are considering starting a small business. It will be presented by the Public Library of Youngstown Mahoning County and SCORE, a group of retired business executives. New site opens up for Funny Farm club
NILES — The Funny Farm Comedy Club Restaurant and Bar has opened at 5580 Youngstown-Warren Road, site of the former Damons restaurant. The club, which is owned by Dave Robich, used to be located at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex in Liberty. The new phone number is (330) 652-4242.
3 veteran members join builders association
VIENNA — Three veteran members of the local construction industry are the newest members of The Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. The new members are Barron Tile Co. of Youngstown, DSV Builders of Niles and Cherokee Glass of Ravenna. The organization has more than 200 members and represents employers mainly in Trumbull, Columbiana and Mahoning counties in eastern Ohio and Mercer and Lawrence counties in western Pennsylvania.
Dahl Chiropractic opens an office in Austintown
AUSTINTOWN — Dahl Chiropractic has opened at 25 N. Canfield-Niles Road, Suite 30. Dr. Amy Dahl is a 1999 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Thiel College. She received her chiropractic training from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Ill., and received her state license last year.
