Mill Creek opens facilities to be rented

YOUNGSTOWN — James L. Wick Jr., Walter Schill and Capt. John Struthers picnic pavilions in Mill Creek MetroParks may be used beginning April 25 on a first-come, first-served basis, but may also be reserved in advance with full payment.

Chestnut Hill, Slippery Rock, and Walter Stitt Pavilions may be used for events beginning May 23 with payment in full in advance.

Mill Creek offers a mixture of facilities for rental throughout the year. Picnic pavilions that accommodate 25 to 150 people, cabins for 25 to 48 people, banquet halls for 100 to 250 people and several small classrooms are available.

The park also offers two areas for outdoor weddings.

Most facilities can be rented up to one year in advance; some up to two years in advance.

Prices range from $35 for the smaller picnic pavilions, to $500 and more for the banquet halls. Facilities are in Youngstown, Boardman, Canfield, and Struthers. Overnight accommodations are not available in the MetroParks.
