Ticketing deal

Here are details of a five-year contract with Ticketmaster to handle the ticketing of the Youngstown-owned Chevrolet Centre. The contract’s outline was approved by the city Friday and is expected to be finalized Thursday. Ticketmaster will start handling the ticketing May 1. The money paid to the city is for the life of the five-year deal.

$125,000, paid in equal amounts of $25,000 each year. This money is guaranteed.

$942,000 in royalties on ticket surcharges, ranging from 25 percent to 40 percent per ticket. This is based on an estimate of 80,000 tickets sold by Ticketmaster during the first year of the deal with an annual growth rate of 3 percent.

$106,700 invested in the center’s ticketing operations for equipment and computer software as well as for maintenance and licensing fees.
