HUBBARD

March 27

Warrant: The Girard Municipal Court issued a warrant for the arrest of a Hubbard woman on charges of larceny and violation of probation.

Possible theft: A Tulip Drive woman reported her car’s front license plate lost or stolen.

March 28

Criminal mischief: A Hager Street woman saw that a bodily substance had been placed on her door.

Robbery: A clerk with Circle K, 211 W. Liberty St., reported a gunman had been in the store. The man was described as being thin and 5 feet 6 inches.

March 29

Theft: Felony warrants were entered for a Hubbard man wanted on two counts of theft as well as one count each of forgery and misuse of a credit card.

March 30

Theft: A man contracted to raze an East Water Street home reported seeing people removing property from the residence.

Theft: A woman stole items from Dollar General, 886 W. Liberty St. The property was recovered.

Theft: A man in the 100 block of South Main Street discovered a wheelbarrow and a dolly missing from his garage.

Identity theft: A Maple Ridge Drive woman reported being a victim.

Theft: A worker for Family Video, 120 W. Liberty St., told police of being shortchanged.

March 27

Theft: A Louise Lane woman reported a $3,000 motorized wheelchair was removed from her porch.

Theft: An employee with a Poland auto business reported giving a Garfield Avenue man two checks to buy vehicle parts, but finding instead that parts to a car at the residence were missing.

March 28

Assault: A Lakeview Drive woman was injured after a man body-slammed her to the ground during an argument regarding a burglary to a neighbor’s residence.

Breaking and entering: Someone pried open a piece of sheet metal in the rear of Tri County Sports Complex Inc., 4200 Logan Gate Road, and entered before breaking into three vending machines and removing money.

Theft/criminal damaging: A vending machine was smashed in the 300 block of Church Hill Road and its change box was missing.

Criminal damaging: Police picked up two Youngstown boys, 13 and 15, and a 13-year-old Girard boy after a Church Hill-Hubbard Road woman reported seeing someone throwing what appeared to be pieces of a tree branch at her vehicle. The teens were released to their parents.

March 29

Theft: A Girard man reported the theft of his wallet while at a residence in the 30 block of James Lane.

Theft: A Girard man, 24, was given a citation after two bags of shrimp were stolen from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.

Theft: A Hadley Avenue woman suspected someone gained access to her bank account after finding three unauthorized transactions totaling about $100.

Drugs: A traffic stop on Belmont Avenue led to a 31-year-old Youngstown man’s arrest on charges of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, and misdemeanor counts of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. The man tried to toss and kick a suspected crack pipe under his vehicle, and had five pills in a film can, the report said.

March 30

Theft: A man in his 40s stole $47 worth of gasoline from Conroy’s Xpress, on Belmont Avenue after his credit card had been rejected.

Theft: A James Lane woman reported the theft from her home of two bottles of prescription medication for her son.

Drug paraphernalia: Officers investigated a suspicious person and took into custody a 24-year-old Girard man on Motor Inn Drive. He was wanted on a charge of failing to appear in court to face one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 31

Criminal damaging: A woman in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive reported a bedroom window was broken.

GIRARD

March 28

Misuse of a credit card: An Earl Street woman told officers someone found and used her mother’s credit card without authorization.

Theft: An East Prospect Street man reported the theft of his brother’s 40-foot aluminum ladder.

Stolen property: A worker with Girard Recycling, 426 Hartzell St., called police upon learning an extension ladder brought to the store had been stolen.

Theft: A woman was accused of stealing $64 worth of gasoline and cigarettes from McQuaid Distributing Marketing, 307 S. State St.

March 29

Theft: An East Second Street woman accused a 17-year-old boy of obtaining her automated-teller-machine card and withdrawing $200 from her bank account without consent.

Aggravated menacing: A Washington Avenue woman alleged a man threatened to shoot another man staying with her.

March 30

Assaults: A Washington Avenue man accused another man, 30, of striking him in the mouth during an argument. The other man said he was hit in the leg with a pole.

Criminal mischief: A Navajo Drive man found two landscaping lights had been removed from his property and smashed in the street.

March 31

Breaking and entering: A man in the 900 block of Lawrence Avenue discovered his shed had been entered. Stolen were a wheelbarrow, a weed trimmer and an electric chain saw, for a loss of $490.

Theft: A man found out someone had broken into a piece of rental property he owns on West Wilson Avenue and stole copper plumbing.

Burglary: A man called authorities after someone broke into his parents’ former East Liberty Street residence through a rear window. Copper piping was removed from the basement and 200 DVDs were stolen from the garage, for a loss of $2,100.

April 1

Theft/criminal damaging: An employee of Girard Hardware, 52 W. Liberty St., reported someone broke into one of his work trucks and took numerous hand and power tools, a stereo and plumbing items.

Criminal mischief: A group of juveniles was accused of spray painting a fence in the 200 block of East Prospect Street.
