“Rock the Cradle” (10 p.m., MTV): Is music in the genes? The new reality series, “Rock the Cradle,” attempts to find out. It’s a singing contest featuring the offspring of famous musicians, including Bobby Brown, MC Hammer, Olivia Newton John, Kenny Loggins, Eddie Money and others. This weekly talent show features eight celebrity offspring seeking the grand prize of a recording contract. The performers will be coached by choreographers and songwriters, then face a live audience, a panel of judges and possible elimination.
