Judge sets $1M bond for murder suspect

YOUNGSTOWN — Judge Robert P. Milich of Youngstown Municipal Court set bond for Reginald Everson, charged in a homicide on the city’s South Side, at $1 million at Everson’s video arraignment today.

Everson surrendered to police at 1 p.m. Tuesday and was taken to Mahoning County Jail.

Everson, 21, of West Chalmers Avenue, is charged with murder in the shooting death of 18-year-old Terrell L. Roland of East Avondale Avenue.

Roland was shot twice in his driveway Sunday afternoon and died that night at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Everson has been out of jail on a $15,000 bond since July 2007. He is charged with aggravated robbery in a case that involves the shooting death of an Auto Zone store clerk on the city’s East Side in May 2006. Two other men are charged with murder in that crime.
