BOARDMAN — John Tackmann of the Thunder was named af2 ironman of the week.

Tackmann, a rookie from Winona State started at linebacker and saw spot duty as a quarterback in last Saturday’s 59-33 win over Albany. He also held for field goals and extra points.

Tackmann’s 61‚Ñ2 tackles led the Thunder defenders and his five rushing attempts went for a team-leading 25 yards. His three touchdowns were the most rushing touchdowns of any player in the league.
