Pavlik lands a few hits in one corner shortly into the round.

Both fighters exchanfge jabs with the solid hits going both ways toward the middle of the round.

Pavlik steps into a series of blows from the champ toward the end of the round, but rallies to land a strong right to the champs jaw against the ropes.

The fighters remained tied up at the sound of the bell.
