YSU ENROLLMENT Local numbers

Youngstown State University had 18 percent of the high school graduating classes in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties enroll as freshmen this fall. If that percentage holds, the number of students enrolling should increase, according to projections.

2007: 7,035 spring graduates, 1,295 enrolled at YSU, 18 percent.

2008: 7,422 spring graduates expected, 1,336 enroll at YSU at 18 percent.

2009: 7,624 spring graduates expected, 1,372 enroll at YSU at 18 percent.
