Triple fatal crash in Venango County


CRANBERRY, Pa. (AP) — Three people, including a father and son from Pittsburgh, have been killed in a head-on collision in Venango County.

State police say 71-year-old Paul Laukaitis Sr. and 27-year-old Paul Laukaitis Jr. died when their van was struck head-on Friday night by a sport utility vehicle driven by 30-year-old Michael Krupitzer of Cranberry.

Police say Krupitzer was speeding on Route 62 when his vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane shortly before 10 p.m.

Police say a third person in the van, 66-year-old Janet Laukaitis, was taken to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh. Her condition was not immediately available Saturday.
