S. Range extends streak to 28 games
The Raiders now have 28 straight wins after beating East Palestine 44-12.
EAST PALESTINE — Chris Novak scored two touchdowns as South Range extended its regular season winning streak to 28 games with a 44-12 victory over East Palestine Friday night.
Steve Bensinger’s 3-yard touchdown run and J.C. Willison’s 22-yard field goal were the only points South Range (6-0, 3-0 Inter Tri-County League Tier One) mustered in the first half.
Quarterback Jack Dawson’s 50-yard scoring run keyed the Raiders’ 34-point second half. Nick Golec and Steve Shimer also scored.
Novak rushed 10 times for 71 yards.
For the Bulldogs (3-3, 1-2), Tommy Powers rushed 13 times for 63 yards. Austin Cope caught a 26-yard scoring toss from George Miller. Dalton Cope scored the other touchdown.

LISBON — The Rebels (4-2, 2-1) pulled away with a 21-point spurt in the second quarter.
Corey Hill scored on runs of 2 and 41 yards and rushed for 118 yards on 14 carries to spark the Rebels.
Dana Rose returned a fumble 54 yards for the Blue Devils (2-4, 0-3) in the fourth quarter.

Springfield 21
HANOVERTON — United scored 27 second-half points and outgained Springfield in total yards, 426-189.
Springfield’s 14-13 lead evaporated when Eric Sluss caught a TD pass from Jimmy Phillis with 9:26 remaining in the third quarter. The Golden Eagles (3-3, 1-2 ITCL Tier One) proceeded to build on their 19-14 lead.
United’s Josh Hartenstein, who scored three times, rushed 34 times for 182 yards. Phillis threw two touchdown passes and finished 8 of 10 for 156 yards.
Nate Schuler passed for a TD and ran for another for Springfield (0-6, 0-3).
SEBRING — Nathan Melhorn scored once and rushed for 133 yards Friday to lead the Southern High football team to a 35-7 victory over Sebring.
Curt Raffle and Cody Gibson each tallied twice for Southern.
Raffle and Gibson both had an interception return for a touchdown.
