Two grants make wishes come true

YOUNGSTOWN — Two grants totaling $21,000 were received from the Kennedy Foundation and the SJK Charitable Fund, components of the Community Foundation of Mahoning Valley, and will be used to grant the wishes of seven local Make-A-Wish children.

The presentation of the grants will take place at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the corner of West Federal Street and Wick Avenue.

The funds are part of the Community Challenge, which raised another $21,000 in the local community. National City Bank made a significant contribution toward the goal.
