Seth Harding’s 3 goals lift Salem to tie Poland

SALEM — Seth Harding scored three goals Thursday as the Salem High boys soccer team tied Poland, 3-3.

Goalkeeper Rick Samu made seven saves for the Quakers (2-6-1, 0-5-1 Metro Athletic Conference.

For the Bulldogs (9-1-3, 5-0-3), Ryan Rovnak scored two goals and Blake Rhein one goal. Alan Gavolas and Brian Witt each had an assist.

Poland goalkeeper Andrew McElroy made three saves.

Canfield 5, East Liverpool 1

CANFIELD — John Kanotz scored three goals for the Cardinals (5-4-3, 4-1-3 MAC). Pat Connors and Tim Hutchinson also scored.

John Goclano and Jake Goclano each had an assist while goalkeeper Jared Turocy made three saves.

Joe Zirillo scored for the Potters while goalkeeper Sam Kinsey made 10 saves.

CVCA 2, Mooney 0

STRUTHERS — Dan Thompson and Brian Petak scored as Mooney lost for the second time.

Goalkeeper Jonathon Critell made four saves for the Cardinals (8-2-1).

Liberty 5, LaBrae 0

LIBERTY — Tom Stark scored three goals for the Leopards (4-6-1, 3-4-1 Trumbull Athletic Conference). Mark Britton and Patrick McGarry also netted goals.

Evan Hideg earned an assist while goalkeeper Joshua Hideg made two saves.

For the Vikings, Andrew Ozanich made nine saves.

West Branch 6, Hubbard 1

BELOIT — Aaron Lamancusa and Logan Schaefer each scored two goals and had one assist apiece to lead West Branch (7-3-1).

Caleb Capron had one goal and one assist and Zac West one goal to support West Branch while Sam Vuletich and John Schuster each had an assist.

West Branch goalkeeper Chance Young made five saves.

Hubbard (8-3-2) goalkeeper Galen Hayek made five saves.

COLUMBIANA — Aaron Stewart scored four goals as Crestview improved to 11-1 (7-0 ITCL Tier One).

Austin Elwonger and Mitchell See each added a goal for the Rebels. Elwonger had two assists and See and Jordan Vignon one each.

John Guappone scored the goal for United (4-8-1, 2-4-1).

POLAND — Jordan Palumbo scored two goals and had two assists to lead Poland (7-2-2).

Becky Hanna and Vivien Clayton each added one goal to reinforce Poland, while Rachel Cooper and Kelly Storkel each contributed one assist each.

Poland goalkeeper Erin Eckman made two saves.

West Branch (7-4) goalkeeper Jordan Manser 15 saves.

NEW WATERFORD — Amber Uscianowski scored two goals to pace Springfield (5-3-1). Ashley Huffman, Carrie Ritzler, Breanne Mincher, Hanna Chapella and Ashlyn Italianno added a goal apiece. Ritzler had an assist.

Amanda Kissinger and Brianna Vlaiku led the Rebels (4-9), each with a goal. Amanda Robb had an assist.
