The commissioners also handled these matters at their Thursday meeting:
Approved a three-year extended warranty contract for maintenance, firmware and software upgrades for the county’s 209 iVotronic voting machines with Elections Systems and Software, Omaha, Neb. Cost is $113,250 to be paid in three annual installments. The county did manage to insert a provision in the pact that the annual installments will not have to be paid if the machines are decertified for use in the state during the warranty period.
Signed contracts on behalf of Children and Youth Services with Family Care for Children and Youth, Milton, Pa., with daily rates ranging from $59.03 per day to $688.50 for a home study; with Keystone Adolescent Center, Greenville, with varying rates for various services for youth as well as $88,648 annually for a community support program for CYS, and $128,524 annually for a community support program for Mercer County Juvenile Probation Department.
Increased the annual salary for Donald Fedorczyk, director of the Intermediate Punishment Program, from $48,690 to $54,522 after a county compensation committee re-evaluated his job duties.
