HOWLAND Street resurfacing

Township trustees have awarded the contract for street resurfacing this year to Shelly & Sands Inc. of Akron with a bid of $369,349, which is about 8 percent lower than the engineer’s estimate. Township Administrator Darlene St. George said work is expected to begin in about two weeks. The streets that will be resurfaced are:

Overland Road.

Robert Lane.

Ragland Drive, from state Route 46 to Raccoon Drive.

Cranbrook Circle.

Brookwood Drive, from Route 46 to Cranbrook.

Venice Heights, west end.

Woodland Drive.

Johnnycake Road.

East Heights Streets.

Westover Drive.

Kroen Avenue.
