New campus
Butler County Community College expects to start offering classes at its new location at the corner of U.S. Route 224 and West Washington Street in Union Township by August. Here are some details.
The campus will offer general courses that can be transferred to other colleges and universities through articulation agreements made with BC3. They expect to offer 55 to 60 courses each semester.
There will be several specific programs offered at the new Lawrence County campus that include agreements with area colleges and universities. They include a bachelor’s degree in psychology through LaRoche College in Pittsburgh; a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice through Point Park University in Pittsburgh; an associate degree in power plant technology through Youngstown State University.
There also will be programs in business administration, education medical coding and medical assisting.
BC3 is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
Tuition for Pennsylvania residents who live outside of Butler County is $166 per credit and $239 per credit for out-of-state residents.
