Sept. 21

Theft: A worker for Poland Furniture & Accessories, 1305 Boardman-Poland Road, reported the theft of a credit card.

Theft: A Tippecanoe Road woman discovered a credit card missing from her purse.

Criminal damaging: A key was used to damage a vehicle’s finish at the Southern Park Mall.

Breaking and entering: Someone broke into Abundant Life Construction Inc., 4200 Simon Road, and took two garage door opener kits.

Burglary: A Forest Hill Drive woman noticed copper piping was stolen from her basement after someone had entered.

Bad check: A Campbell man, 39, was arrested at the Mahoning County Jail. He was wanted on a felony charge from the township of passing bad checks.

Burglary: Authorities arrested a 44-year-old Boardman man on charges of burglary and possession of criminal tools after a Melrose Avenue woman found out her home had been broken into through a rear door. Copper piping was missing.

Arrest: After saying they observed a woman soliciting near a Market Street business, authorities took the 36-year-old Youngstown woman into custody upon learning she was wanted on three warrants.

Domestic violence: Police picked up a 28-year-old Boardman woman at Forum Health Northside Medical Center, Youngstown, on a warrant charging her with domestic violence. She was accused of threatening to kill her husband and herself.

Sept. 22

Breaking and entering: A Jennette Drive resident told police of seeing someone entering a next-door neighbor’s garage and removing a $150 push mower.

Theft: A Youngstown man reported a $600 cordless drill and accessories stolen from his car while at a Doral Drive business.

Felonious assault: Officers responded to St. Elizabeth Health Center on McClurg Road, where a man reported having been struck and knocked unconscious while walking in the 5700 block of Market Street, and after refusing to give someone money. The victim had symptoms of a concussion, the report said.

Criminal damaging: Two people reported damage to a 4-foot section of a gutter, as well as damage to a car’s taillight, at a residence in the 7400 block of West Boulevard.

Theft: A motorist pumped $40.84 worth of gasoline and left a Shell True North station, 7598 Market St., without paying.

Counterfeit: A phony $20 bill was passed at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Fraud: A Rockdale Avenue woman discovered that a credit card had been stolen and that $650 was charged to her account.

Theft: Someone drove away from a Get Go station, 6911 South Ave., and failed to pay for $37 worth of gasoline.

Theft: Two Berlin Center girls, 16 and 17, were charged after clothing was stolen from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Drugs: A Salem woman, 28, was arrested in the 4400 block of South Avenue on a felony charge of possession of crack cocaine. She had a half-gram of the suspected drug, police said.

Arrests: While investigating an underage drinking party at a Stadium Drive residence, officers charged a 16-year-old Boardman boy with possession of drug paraphernalia and underage consumption of alcohol. A Boardman man, 18, was charged with allowing underage drinking at his residence.

Sept. 23

Burglary: Nothing seemed to be missing after someone entered a West Boulevard apartment via the front door.

Forgery: A Youngstown woman, 26, wanted on a felony count of forgery was taken into custody in the 5000 block of Market Street. Earlier, a worker for Seven Seventeen Credit Union, 7371 California Ave., reported getting a bad $4,975 check.

Theft: A 43-year-old Warren woman faced two counts of theft and one count of possession of criminal tools after being accused of taking $323 worth of clothing from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall. Earlier, authorities said, she had concealed items from two other businesses, and was found with two pairs of pliers in a bag.

Domestic violence: A 46-year-old Boardman woman was charged after officers responded to a situation between a mother and daughter. The 18-year-old woman had cuts and scratches to her lip, right eye, cheek and forehead, the report showed.

Domestic violence: A woman, 42, was arrested at her Jennette Drive residence and charged after her husband alleged she assaulted him as he got into bed. The accuser had scratches on his neck.

Stolen property: Two Youngstown women, 47 and 50, were charged with theft and receiving stolen property after $225.26 of merchandise was stolen from Family Dollar, 4028 Market St. The older woman faced additional counts of obstructing official business, possession of drugs and identity theft when, police said, she used her daughter’s identity.

Theft: A man reported a $100 children’s bicycle stolen from his yard in the 600 block of Forestridge Drive.

Theft: A Canfield man, while in the 4000 block of Hopkins Road, discovered numerous Vicodin and Zanex pills stolen from his car.

Theft: Someone took $167 of merchandise, as well as a scarecrow decoration, from Family Dollar, 4030 South Ave.

Burglary: Someone entered Gateways to Better Living, 210 Prestwick Drive, through a side door. Stolen were a stereo/compact-disc component system and an undisclosed amount of money.

Criminal damaging: Two glass doors were shattered at a private business in the 4400 block of Market Street.

Assault: A worker for a McDonald’s restaurant, 15 Boardman-Canfield Road, told police a customer struck her after tossing a bag of food at her. The employee was not hurt.

Sept. 24

Theft: A Boardman man, 24, and a Poland man, 57, were charged after $85 worth of merchandise was stolen from Sam’s Club, 6361 South Ave.

Domestic violence: A Youngstown woman, 33, was taken into custody at a Market Street business on a domestic-violence charge after the woman’s boyfriend alleged she struck him in the face during an argument. The man suffered a bloody lip.

Theft: A Boardman woman reported her credit card and Social Security card missing while at a Southern Park Mall store.

Theft: A woman reported her son’s $80 bicycle stolen from the porch of their Lockwood Boulevard residence.

Vandalism: Roughly $750 of total damage was done to a front window, a fire extinguisher and a smoke detector at a home in the 4900 block of Brookwood Road.

Theft by deception: Charges were pending against a Boardman woman, 30, after an employee with Beverly Hills Floors Inc., 374 Boardman-Poland Road, accused the woman of writing 33 business checks totaling $11,206 for herself, and without his approval.

Theft: A motorist pumped $26 of gasoline and left a Shell station, 950 Boardman-Poland Road, without paying.

Theft: Someone removed a $50 trailer hitch from a vehicle in the 7900 block of Market Street.

Criminal mischief: A Salinas Trail woman reported several eggs were tossed at her front window.

Criminal mischief: A Gardenwood Drive woman found damage to a Halloween decoration.

Theft: Someone stole a $24 men’s coat from Burlington Coat Factory, 529 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Robbery: A worker for Jewels & More in the Southern Park Mall was injured while someone took a $160, 24-inch silver chain.

Attempted burglary: A Grover Drive man noticed a screen had been pried off a rear window.
