Warren classes moved after water break

WARREN – About 375 pupils at Horace Mann 3-5 school went to school today at Jefferson K-8 site at Reserve Middle School because of a water break in front of the school.

Firefighters were extinguishing an arson fire about 2:30 a.m. at 1155 Oak Street S.W. that was fully engulfed when they arrived.

About an hour later, the pressure broke the line on Austin Avenue about a block away at 3:30 a.m.

Dawn Marzano, city school spokeswoman, said students will be returned to Horace Mann at the end of the day and then bused home.

There were no injuries as a result of the blaze and no estimate of damage was give.
