SRU 3, California (Pa.) 1

California, Pa. — Junior midfielder Courtney Hoover (Warwick Valley, NY) scored a goal and had an assist to lead the fourth-ranked Rock. The goal was the second of the season for Hoover. Junior midfielder Danielle Cooper (Lancashire, England) and junior forward Mallory Neubert (Sinking Spring) each rang up their fourth goal of the season to round out The Rock tallies, while senior midfielder Jaimi Wilson (Cambria, England) added an assist. Rock goalie Lauren McManus (Hatfield) was called upon to record only five saves as SRU dominated the proceedings. A 21-8 Rock advantage in shots and a 13-6 margin in shots on goal is evidence of that fact. It was SRU’s 10th in 11 games. SRU is unbeaten in six PSAC-West games. With a win in that game, SRU would virtually assure itself of the PSAC-West title, a first-round bye in the conference playoffs and a PSAC-best sixth straight trip to the semifinal round of the playoffs. California saw its record dip to 1-10-1 and (0-5-1 PSAC-West).

 Grove City 1, Baldwin-Wallace 0

GROVE CITY, Pa. — Grove City is 8-0-1 overall — the best start in program history. Sophomore Michelle Peck (Abingdon, Md.) scored her third goal at the 22:48 mark, breaking a 0-0 tie. Her older sister, senior Bethany Peck (Abingdon, Md.) supplied the assist. It is Michelle Peck's second straight game-winning goal for Grove City. Baldwin-Wallace (6-4) appeared to have tied the match in the 63rd minute, but an offside call wiped out the goal. In goal, junior Bethany Preston (Elma, N.Y.) stopped 11 shots to preserve the shutout victory. B-W outshot Grove City, 15-13. The Yellow Jackets also owned the edge in corner kicks, 8-5. Grove City is now 9-0-2 in its last 11 regular-season matches, dating back to 2006.
