Open house set for Arlington Heights

YOUNGSTOWN — Arlington Heights Homeownership Inc. announced it will have an open house for prospective home buyers from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at its model home at 750 Park Ave. on Youngstown’s North Side.

The open house will include tours of the model home. Sale representatives will be on hand to answer questions.

Festivities including pony rides, a petting zoo, bingo and other games, a clown and face painting will take place adjacent to the model home.

When complete, The Homes at Arlington Heights will consist of 30 new owner-occupied homes. Buyers can choose from five models. All of the homes include garages and three bedrooms, and many come with basements and 11⁄2 baths.

Phase II, which consists of 10 new homes, is more than 50 percent sold.

The Homes at Arlington Heights will give many Mahoning Valley residents who thought they could not afford a new house the ability to buy one. Homes begin at $55,875 before options.

Households must have incomes between $19,000 and $41,700 and be able to qualify for a mortgage. Down payment and closing cost assistance is available. Buy Into Youngstown is providing homeownership counseling and credit repair.
