Kelly Pavlik stands at the brink of change

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Kelly Pavlik’s life is about to change. On Saturday night, he’ll find out whether it’s for better or worse.

If (or “when,” if you ask his trainer, Jack Loew) the Youngstown native defeats Jermain Taylor for the WBC middleweight title, he stands to make several million dollars in his next fight.

“If he wins, he’ll be on the cover of Ring Magazine,” said Pavlik’s agent and co-manager, Cameron Dunkin, referring to boxing’s premier publication. “A lot of good things will happen.

“His whole life will change.”
