GIRARD

Sept. 23

Theft: A 12-year-old Washington Avenue boy told police three older boys stole his $200 bicycle near Church Hill Road.

Criminal mischief: An East Prospect Street man discovered eggs were tossed at his car.

Theft: Someone gained entry near a fenced-in area to Patrone Bros. Landscaping & Garden Center, 1752 N. State St., and took several thousand dollars’ worth of lawn equipment.

Domestic violence: Police arrested a 48-year-old South Davis Street man at his residence on a felony domestic-violence count after his girlfriend alleged the man threw her to the floor, kicked her and slapped her in the face. The woman had several scratches to her left forearm.

Breaking and entering: A man called police after someone broke into his mother’s Idaho Avenue home through a front window. Nothing appeared to be missing, however.

Sept. 24

Domestic violence: A Girard woman, 45, was taken into custody near Second Street and charged after officers responded to an argument between two sisters. One was found staggering down a set of steps with blood covering her face, the report said.

Arrest: After stopping a suspicious vehicle near Second Street, authorities arrested a Youngstown man, 50, on a charge of driving under suspension. He faced additional charges of falsification and possession of drug-abuse instruments when, police said, they found a suspected crack pipe, and he gave a false name.

Domestic violence: Police arrested a 23-year-old man at his South Market Street residence and charged him when the man’s father alleged he threw the accuser down a flight of steps during an argument. The elder man had minor injuries to his forehead and nose.

Identity fraud: A Mohawk Drive man reported receiving calls from banks and creditors inquiring if he had applied for credit, and later learning his Social Security number had been used on the applications.

Assault: A Girard woman visiting a Hartzell Street man alleged he slammed a door, striking her in the back.

Sept. 25

Domestic violence: A 26-year-old Girard man was charged after police said they found his girlfriend bleeding from her nose and lip at her Washington Avenue residence. The man came home intoxicated, she reported.

LIBERTY

Sept. 20

Criminal damaging: A woman in the 4200 block of Logan Gate Road found a front windshield and rear window damaged on her vehicle. Damage was estimated at $900.

Assault/aggravated menacing: A Youngstown woman alleged an employee of a business in the 3000 block of Belmont Avenue pushed the accuser and tossed a soda can at her before placing a gun on a counter during an argument. The worker denied both accounts.

Breaking and entering: A Pleasant Valley Road man noticed a garage door had been kicked in. Stolen were a riding mower and a concrete saw.

Menacing: A woman told officers a man came to her Logan Gate Road apartment and threatened to harm her regarding a vehicle she had borrowed.

Domestic violence: A 16-year-old Mansell Drive boy was charged after his stepmother alleged the teen shoved her several times during an argument.

Sept. 21

Arrest: A traffic stop on state Route 193 led to a 39-year-old Campbell man’s arrest when officers found out he was wanted on a felony warrant from Boardman charging him with passing bad checks.

Breaking and entering: A man reported someone broke into a vacant Richards Drive residence via a rear bedroom window before stealing 400 feet of copper piping from the basement.

Arrest: After stopping a driver near Colonial Drive, authorities arrested a Youngstown man, 30, on a charge of operating a vehicle impaired. Felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon, being a convicted felon with a firearm and improper handling of a firearm were added when, police said, they found a .45-caliber semiautomatic firearm in a heating vent.

Assault: A girl alleged an 18-year-old Logan Gate Road man struck and kicked her at his residence. The accuser had a lump on the back of her head and an injury to her right knee.

Breaking and entering: A North Jackson man reported a lawn mower stolen after someone entered the garage to a Santa Monica Drive home. Police, however, found no signs of forced entry.

Theft: A woman reported her daughter’s cell phone stolen from the girl’s purse while the teen was at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way.

Theft: A woman reported a walker and a wheelchair were missing from her mother’s room at Campus Healthcare Center, 196 Colonial Drive.

Sept. 22

Theft: Roughly $10 worth of change was removed from a vehicle in the 1600 block of Motor Inn Drive.

Sept. 23

Theft/criminal damaging: A Niles woman reported a window to her vehicle had been smashed and her purse stolen while she was in the 2200 block of Tibbetts-Wick Road.

Recovered property: A 1987 Chevrolet Caprice was found with its steering column damaged after a woman reported it stolen while at a Motor Inn Drive business.

Assault: A New Castle, Pa., woman told authorities four females struck her at a Motor Inn Drive business, causing bruises near her chin and swelling to her left ankle.

Sept. 24

Menacing: A Liberty Avenue woman reported a Hubbard woman came to the accuser’s place of employment and threatened to harm her.

Identity theft: A Sodom-Hutchings Road woman discovered someone tried to open a credit card account using her name and Social Security number.

HUBBARD

Sept. 21

Theft: Police arrested a girl and a woman, no information given, on theft charges after clothing was stolen from Family Dollar, 437 E. Liberty St.

Criminal mischief: A man in the 400 block of Erie Street discovered property damage.

Criminal damaging: A man’s window was damaged at his home in the 100 block of Wrenfield Drive.

Sept. 22

Robbery: A gunman in jeans and a yellow shirt robbed Circle K, 211 W. Liberty St.

Sept. 23

Drugs: A traffic stop on West Liberty Street resulted in the arrest of a Hubbard woman on a felony charge of drug possession. She also was wanted on a warrant charging her with offenses involving underage people.

Theft: Police arrested a man and a woman, both of Hubbard, on theft charges. The two were accused of taking items from Circle K.

Sept. 24

Theft: A woman discovered an iron stove was taken from her Regina Drive home.

Theft: Someone entered a vehicle in the 700 block of North Main Street and stole various items.

Assault: A Hubbard man reported being assaulted. No other details were in the report.
