Poland boys soccer team defeats Niles , 3-0

POLAND — Taylor Malaniak, Blake Rhein and Dan Hunt scored goals Tuesday as the Poland High boys soccer team defeated Niles, 3-0.

Ryan Storkel and Brian Garcar earned assists for the Bulldogs (9-1-2, 5-0-2 Metro Athletic Conference) while goalkeeper Andrew McElroy made nine saves.

For the Red Dragons, goalkeeper J.J. Crowley made nine saves.

CANFIELD — Jared Turocy made four saves for the Cardinals (8-5).

Matt Mason, Kellen Kasiguras and Danny Thompson scored for CVCA. mason and Eric Hallis earned assists while goalkeeper Alex Sosles made five saves.

BELOIT — Logan Schaefer, Caleb Cafton, Harold Lamancusa and Randy Leopold scored for the Warriors (6-3-1). John Schuster, Jarod Cameron and Aaron Lamancusa earned assists.

COLUMBIANA — Justin Storm and Matt Varian each scored two goals for Heartland Christian (10-2). Kyle Knepper and Nate Hall had two assists apiece.

Heartland Christian had 28 shots on goal and Mogadore seven. Aaron Shields and Erin Broderick shared seven saves for the winners.

Badger 4, Mathews 0

VIENNA — Lee Matson, Marcus Heath, Sam Miller and Vince Meloni scored for the Braves (8-0-1). Nate Bodach made 13 saves for Mathews (4-4-1).
