Cerebral palsy victim reports being raped
YOUNGSTOWN — A man police said has cerebral palsy told them he was raped by two teenage girls who had taunted him while he was visiting a relative on Lee Avenue.
The 24-year-old man, who was interviewed by police Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Health Center Boardman campus, said the “fatter” girl had a handgun and threatened to shoot him and shoot up his relative’s house.
The girls, who live on Lee on the city’s South Side, then followed the man a short distance to Gibson Field, where he went to watch football practice Monday evening, and attacked him with a plastic object, police said.
When he got back to his relative’s house, the girls beat him with a belt and sandals, and the attack was witnessed by his relative, reports show.
The girls retreated to their home, and the victim sought medical attention. The case has been turned over to detectives.
