Benefit dinner for woman with rare cancer set Saturday

BROOKFIELD — A 20-year-old woman suffering from a rare form of cancer will benefit from a dinner and concert being held Saturday at Pathway Outreach Center, 7382 Stewart-Sharon Road.

The Lacey Family Bluegrass Band and The M&M Express Band will perform at The Renee Karwacki Benefit from 6 to 9 p.m.

There are only 200 known cases of the type of cancer Renee has, benefit organizers say.

Dinner will begin at 4 p.m. Suggested donation for the dinner is $7. Suggested donation for the concert is $12. Those attending both events are asked to donate $15, however, any donation will be accepted.
