How players of area interest fared in Sunday’s games:

Jeff Wilkins, Rams (Fitch/YSU) — Wilkins scored the Rams’ only points, a 25-yard field goal, in a 24-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wilkins missed on two earlier field goal tries — he was wide left on a 42-yarder and wide right on a 43-yarder. Wilkins is 6-of-9 on field goals this season.

Anthony Smith, Steelers (Hubbard) — The backup defensive back had six tackles, including one on special teams, in the Steelers’ 37-16 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. He has 11 tackles in three games.

Marlin Jackson, Colts (Sharon) — The former Michigan standout started at right cornerback and had a team-high 15 tackles (12 solo) in the Colts’ 30-24 win over the Texans.

Brad Smith, Jets (Chaney) — The former Missouri quarterback caught three passes for 24 yards, and rushed twice for 14 yards (including a long gain of 11 yards) in the Jets’ 31-28 victory over the Miami Dolphins. Smith also returned two kickoffs for 54 yards and recorded a special teams tackle. Smith has four receptions this season for 32 yards.

Prescott Burgess, Ravens (Warren Harding) — The former Michigan linebacker had two special teams tackles in the Ravens’ 26-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
