Police intervene in fight between two women

YOUNGSTOWN — Police were called to the 2600 block of Oakwood Avenue about 2:34 a.m. Sunday concerning a fight between two women, one 20 years old and the other, 21.

The 21-year-old told police she had been threatened through text messages and on MySpace by the other woman. The 20-year-old went into a bar in which the 21-year-old was and wanted to start a fight, but the bartender intervened. Later that night, the 20-year-old arrived in one of three cars carrying 15 girls on Oakwood Avenue. There the two women ended up in a fight eventually broken up by a family member. The 21-year-old had visible injuries, police said.

No charges were filed; the case was referred to detectives.
