School psychology

Aimee Marie Bonar of Vienna recently received a doctorate in school psychology from Kent State University. A 1994 graduate of Joseph Badger High School, Bonar received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She earned a master of education degree from Kent State University in 2000.

Bonar and her husband, Jason, are the parents of two children. She is currently on maternity leave from her employment by the Trumbull County Educational Service Center as a school psychologist.

Bonar is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Paul Paroz of Hartford.

Counseling psychology

Jill Waggoner Mallin, formerly of East Liverpool, recently received her doctoral degree in counseling psychology from the University of Akron.

Mallin earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Muskingum College in 2000 and her master’s degree in psychology from Akron in 2002. She completed an internship at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

Mallin, co-valedictorian of the Wellsville High School class of 1996, is the daughter of Wilbur and Jeanne Waggoner of East Liverpool.

She is employed as a staff psychologist at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Counseling Services. She and her husband, Matt, live in Fort Atkinson, Wis., and are expecting their first child.
