NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Lawrence County commissioners approved an agreement with neighboring Beaver County to share an employee. The employee will work half time in each county on Greenways projects and environmental planning. The counties will share the costs equally for eight years, according to the agreement. Commissioners also approved applications to two state agencies for $200,000 to pay for the position. Commissioners noted they will not hire anyone until the funding is secured.
