Boy, 17, treated for stab wound
YOUNGSTOWN — Police were called to the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Health Center at 1:46 a.m. Sunday after a stabbing victim was brought there by his aunt.
The boy, 17, was walking north on Hudson Avenue to his aunt’s home and talking to her on his cell phone when he was approached by two unknown men. The victim told police one man went behind him and grabbed him and the other was in front of him. The victim told the attackers he had no money and one took his cell phone.
The victim was stabbed in the left upper back. The boy’s aunt became concerned when the connection was broken and he didn’t arrive at her home. She went to look for him, found him and took him to St. Elizabeth’s, where he was treated and released.
