NW Ohio soldier killed in Iraq blast


LIMA, Ohio (AP) — A soldier from northwest Ohio has died after an explosion in Iraq.

The military says Pfc. Christian Neff died on Wednesday from wounds he received from an improvised explosive device in Baghdad.

Neff lived just outside of Lima in Cridersville and graduated from Shawnee High School.

He had been assigned to the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, Ga.

Neff was 19 years old.
