Music is theme of ‘Community Connection’

YOUNGSTOWN — On Sunday’s “Community Connection” show, host Madonna Chism Pinkard will interview Ron and Robert Bell of Kool & The Gang. The Bell brothers will discuss growing up in Youngstown and how their musical career developed.

Next on the show will be Henry Wayne Casey, otherwise known as KC from KC & The Sunshine Band. KC reflects on memories of Idora Park and performing in Youngstown.

Warren native Saudia Mills is also on the show. She will discuss her debut on “Sunday Best,” a new gospel competition show premiering on Black Entertainment Television (BET).

The final guest is John Reese, founder and organizer of the John Reese Project, a local band.

“Community Connection” airs at 6:30 a.m. on WFMJ-TV 21, and will be rebroadcast at 7 p.m. Wednesday on Time Warner Cable channel 15 in Trumbull County.
