CANFIELD — Do you panic when your child asks for help with his or her math homework?

Many parents feel that their math skills are a little bit rusty, and the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center is offering some help.

The center’s Adult Basic Literacy Education Program is offering “A Parent’s Survival Guide to Middle School Math,” a course to brush up on math skills.

Fractions, decimals, percents, basic geometry, introductory algebra, probability, charts, graphs and state testing will be the focus of the six-session program.

It’s a free class that will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Oct. 15 and ending Oct. 31 at the center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.

To register, call (330) 729-4100.
