Howland fire Friday night causes $110K damage

HOWLAND — Fire officials are attempting to find the cause of a blaze that resulted in about $110,000 damage. There were no injuries.

A fire official said an alarm was sounded shortly before 11 p.m. Friday to 570 Henn-Hyde Road where the front of the one-story frame structure was engulfed in flames. The residents, who were not identified, fled the house without injury.

Flames caused $80,000 damage to the structure and $30,000 to the contents. The Trumbull County Chapter of the Red Cross provided assistance to the family.
