Mountaineer bans minors from gaming areas


CHESTER. W. Va.— Pursuant to the recently passed Racetrack Table Gaming Act, no one under the age of 21 will be permitted to enter designated gaming areas at Mountaineer Race Track & Gaming Resort as of Oct. 7. The Racetrack Gaming Act stipulates 21 as the minimum age to enter areas where either table games or video lottery machines are operated. Those areas at Mountaineer will include the casino area on the hotel side and the casino area trackside. The pari-mutuel minimum betting age continues to be 18 and the Grandstand area will remain open to all ages. Restricted gaming areas will be clearly posted.
