Airplane lands on golf course

CHIPPEWA, Pa. (AP) — The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the emergency landing of a small plane on a Beaver County golf course.

Authorities say the pilot and his one passenger weren’t hurt, nor was anybody on the ground. Bryan Peluso of Kennedy Township landed the Cessna 172 on Thursday afternoon on a fairway at the Black Hawk Golf Course in Chippewa.

The FAA official says the plane lost power shortly after taking off from the Beaver County Airport about a mile away.

The FAA is still trying to determine why the plane lost power.

Airport officials say the plane belonged to Quantum Aviation.
