HUBBARD
Sept. 14
Criminal mischief: An East Liberty Street man accused his girlfriend of slashing a tire on his vehicle and damaging his cell phone.
Bad check: A bad check was presented at National Check Exchange, 340 N. Main St.
Sept. 15
Theft: A Jean Drive man discovered his wallet stolen from his car.
Aggravated menacing: A worker for Taco Bell, 730 W. Liberty St., told police a man in a green vehicle threatened him over the phone and went through the drive-thru several times after becoming upset about a food order.
Sept. 16
Attempted theft: Police took a report from a woman near Hager and Church streets who said someone tried to steal her motorcycle.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 300 block of Center Street reported that her husband found broken glass around their electric meter.
Sept. 17
Theft: A Doris Drive resident reported the theft of a gift card.
Sept. 18
Theft: A woman reported items stolen from her home in the 500 block of Oriole Drive.
Sept. 19
Damage: A man in the 500 block of East Liberty Street noticed someone in a large truck drove through and damaged part of his yard.

Sept. 14
Drugs: A traffic stop on state Route 193 resulted in a 19-year-old Youngstown man’s arrest on a charge of possession of marijuana. Found in his pocket was a plastic bag containing the suspected drug, police said.
Criminal mischief: A Marlane Drive woman said someone broke and removed wooden stakes in her yard.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 1300 block of Church Hill-Hubbard Road found three scratches on his vehicle’s driver’s-side door, resulting in a $300 damage estimate.
Breaking and entering: An employee arrived at Cleveland Auto Wrecking Co. Inc., 2700 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, found a gate open and learned that someone had stolen a vehicle containing scrap batteries and aluminum wheels.
Arrest: While investigating suspicious activity in the 5900 block of Belmont Avenue, police arrested a Mineral Ridge man, 21, upon learning he was wanted on a warrant. He also faced one count each of receiving stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of criminal tools when a small knife as well as two large bags containing 15 car stereos and various tools were found. The suspect admitted having stolen the stereos to sell them, officers said.
Misuse of a credit card: A Girard man discovered his credit card missing while at a business in the 4200 block of Belmont Avenue and that transactions were made with it.
Theft: A worker for a business in the 2900 block of Belmont Avenue returned and noticed a $500 digital camera and accessories missing from an office.
Theft: An employee with Rent-a-Center, 3610 Belmont Ave., said two people likely took a $305 laptop computer from a stock room.
Sept. 15
Drugs: While responding to possible drug use near Lakeview Drive, police arrested a 24-year-old Hubbard man wanted on felony charges of possession of cocaine and heroin, as well as a misdemeanor count of receiving stolen property. The man faced a separate charge of falsification when, authorities said, he provided a false name.
Arrest: After being called to an altercation at a business in the 4600 block of Belmont Avenue, officers took into custody a Youngstown man, 38, wanted on a warrant charging him with probation violation.
Theft: An item was taken from the front porch of a Homstead Road home.
Recovered property: A 2001 Chevy Silverado stolen in Youngstown was found burned near a set of railroad tracks close to Logan Gate Road.
Sept. 16
Felonious assault: Police charged a Youngstown man, 23, with felonious assault after responding to a fight near Dailey Avenue. Witnesses told authorities a township man was knocked unconscious; the victim reported having been struck on the left side of his face with a blunt object, and was found with numerous bruises. The suspect also was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired.
Sept. 17
Aggravated menacing: A Fifth Avenue man reported that several men in a van threatened to burn down his residence and harm him.
Identity theft: A Harding Avenue man was informed of a $920 cell phone bill and learned that an account had been opened in his name without authorization.
Theft: A Shannon Road woman found that two portable DVD players and roughly 80 DVDs were taken from her vehicle. The loss was estimated at $1,400.
Sept. 18
Theft: A Colonial Drive man reported his $100 cell phone missing while in the 4500 block of Belmont Avenue.
Attempted breaking and entering: No entry was gained after someone forced open a basement window at a Colonial Drive residence.
Theft: A woman spoke to an in-home health-care business taking care of her elderly mother, of Logan Way, regarding the disappearance of the elder woman’s wedding and engagement rings.

Sept. 17
Menacing: A North Highland Avenue woman told police a neighbor tossed branches onto her property, and that she heard BBs hitting her home as part of a pattern of harassment.
Theft: A woman in the 900 block of Krehl Avenue discovered $270 missing from her purse in her vehicle.
Theft: A Woodlawn Avenue man found that two saws and a set of golf clubs were removed from his garage. The loss came to $405.
Theft: Police arrested a 25-year-old McDonald man on a theft charge after he was accused of trying to steal $127 worth of steaks from Santisi’s IGA Super Center, 419 N. State St.
Possible theft: An Apache Drive woman reported her cell phone lost or stolen.
Menacing: A Highland Avenue woman reported that a man threatened over the phone to kill her.
Sept. 18
Criminal mischief: A neighbor informed police that someone spray-painted several obscenities on the garage door and front window of an Indiana Avenue residence.
