Youngstown State University will mark its 100th anniversary next year and has scheduled a series of events over the next 12 months to celebrate. Some of those events include:

Oct. 20: Homecoming. Centennial launch with a halftime celebration at Stambaugh Stadium.

Oct. 21: 50th Reunion at DeBartolo
Stadium Club.

Nov. 20: Maag Library Archive grand opening.

Dec. 16: Midyear commencement at Beeghly Center marking the first use of the new Centennial Diplomas.

Jan. 23, 2008: Emeritus faculty
luncheon in Kilcawley Center.

February 2008: Annual Ring Dinner at Mr. Anthony’s (date to be announced).

March 25: College of Education open house.

April 7: Student Olympics at Andrews Student Recreation and Wellness Center.

April 25-26: Symposium on the History of Industrialization and the Automobile in Kilcawley Center.

May 16: Dedication of the Howard Jones sculpture on the campus core, honoring the university’s first president.

May 17: Centennial commencement at Beeghly Center and Stambaugh Auditorium. First use of the Centennial Mace.

July 12-13: Centennial Arts Festival.

Aug. 22: School year kickoff.

Oct. 25: Centennial closing at football homecoming.
