Man sues Sam’s Club,
others over broken tooth

YOUNGSTOWN — A New Castle, Pa., man filed a lawsuit seeking $250,000 after he said he bit into a pizza at Sam’s Club in Boardman and broke a tooth. Robert Galiano, 20 Lattavo Drive, filed the suit Tuesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

The suit says Galiano bought the pizza Sept. 19, 2005, and was eating it at the store. He bit into something hard that should not have been in the pizza and hurt his teeth, the suit said. A molar was fractured and had to be removed and there were injuries to other teeth, it said.

The defendants are the store; Wal-Mart Stores of Bentonville., Ark., which is the parent company of Sam’s Club; and Fontanini of Chicago and Capitol Wholesale Meats of Chicago, which are listed as the makers or suppliers of the pizza.
