An exhibition featuring more than 110 watercolors and drawings by quintessential American artist Andrew Wyeth opens today at the Butler Museum of American Art. The exhibition will run through Dec. 16.

It’s a good night for rock in downtown Youngstown, what with Asleep doing an acoustic show at Barley’s, 21 W. Federal St., and Koebel playing right around the corner at Cedar’s Lounge, 23 N. Hazel St. Both shows will get under way around 10-ish.

The Giant Pumpkin Festival is in full swing this weekend, with cowboys, wine demonstrations, polka music, and, uh, giant pumpkins. The massive affair is being held at Yankee Lake, on Route 7. Admission is $1.

Hey, mon, Youngstown’s favorite reggae rockers, Rainbow Tribe, have put together a little event they call Reggaefest tonight at Cedars Lounge. The Tribe will be joined by Buddahood, another reggae outfit out of upstate New York. Show starts at 11 p.m.

It’s been a few months since Ron Chick’s Friends have performed. The big band orchestra breaks its silence tonight with a dinner-concert that will feature vocalist Bobby Remp.
