A paragraph in Monday’s editorial on the national debt used millions or billions instead of trillions in some references. It should have read: “When Ronald Reagan took office 26 years ago, the debt was less than $1 trillion. It increased four-fold throughout the Reagan and George H.W. Bush years. When Bill Clinton took office, it was a little over $4 trillion and grew to $5.6 trillion ...”
