Arson reported inside Gabriel Brothers store

BOARDMAN — Police and firefighters responded to a report of merchandise set on fire at a U.S. 224 discount store.

An employee at Gabriel Brothers called authorities about 8 p.m. Wednesday reporting that someone had set fire to a package of jeans in the rear of the store.

A store employee extinguished the flames and the fire department estimated damage at $7,500 to store merchandise.
