Hillside hospital will hold open house

HOWLAND—Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital will hold an open house Thursday for the official opening of its Brain Injury Center of Excellence.

The event will be held on the Brain Injury nursing unit in the hospital at 8747 Squires Lane. The opening ceremony begins at 12:30 p.m. followed by a ribbon cutting and facility tours.

Judie Pecorelli, manager for the brain center said, “We developed a more comprehensive focus on brain injuries to complement our existing expertise in patient care.”

The hospital is a nationally known expert in the of physical rehabilitation and is one of 60 dedicated rehabilitation facilities in the nation. The facility is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
