A summary of recent criminal activity in Boardman:

Sept. 12

Criminal damaging: A woman reported a key was used to damage finish on her mother’s vehicle in the 1200 block of Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A man reported a $300 lawn mower stolen from his residence in the 5500 block of Southern Boulevard.

Arrest: Police took into custody a 32-year-old Youngstown man after pulling him over near Clifton Drive. He was wanted on two felony counts of nonsupport of a child.

Theft: Police arrested a 15-year-old girl as well as a woman, 18, both of Boardman, on theft charges after $91 worth of merchandise was stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Arrest: Police arrested a Boardman woman, 47, during a traffic stop near Market Street when authorities found out she was wanted on a warrant from Liberty charging her with resisting arrest.

Theft/criminal damaging: A Glenwood Avenue woman found five of her vehicle’s windows were smashed, which caused $700 of damage, and that her cell phone had been taken.

Aggravated menacing: Officers responded to a fight in the 3900 block of South Schenley Avenue, where seven people reported having been threatened with physical harm.

Criminal damaging: A Buchanan Drive man reported four windows to his vehicle were broken, resulting in a damage estimate of $1,000.

Breaking and entering: Officers charged a 50-year-old Youngstown man with breaking and entering after a worker for Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road, said he saw someone in a vehicle leaving with a $500 shelving system taken from the business.

Theft: An employee of Arby’s, 650 Boardman-Poland Road, discovered a driver’s license and paycheck missing from her purse.

Theft/criminal damaging: A Salem woman noticed her car had been broken into and her purse stolen while in the 4500 block of Lockwood Boulevard.

Auto theft: A Boardman boy, 16, faced charges of receiving stolen property and being an unruly juvenile after a 1995 Chevy Blazer was stolen and recovered at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave. The boy also was wanted on a warrant from the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center, Youngstown, charging him with probation violation.

Criminal damaging: A rock was thrown through a bay window, causing $500 damage, at a home in the 7400 block of Salinas Trail.

Sept. 13

Theft: Police charged two Youngstown women, 22 and 30, respectively, with theft. They are accused of stealing a $624, 32-inch flat-screen TV from Wal-Mart. One of the women also was charged with criminal trespassing.

Arrest: A 23-year-old Hermitage, Pa., man wanted on felony charges of theft and theft by deception was picked up in Trumbull County. A worker for Home Savings and Loan, 7525 Market St., cashed a $975 check later determined to have been from a closed account, police said.

Domestic violence: A 25-year-old Stanton Avenue woman was arrested at her residence on a domestic-violence charge after her husband alleged she struck him several times in the face and used a wooden stick to hit him under the chin during an argument.

Criminal mischief: Someone shot a vehicle’s trunk area with paintballs at a residence in the 400 block of Green Garden Drive.

Sept. 14

Arrest: While investigating a suspicious person in the 5100 block of South Avenue, officers charged a Youngstown man, 50, with public intoxication. He also was wanted on two warrants.

Theft: Police charged two Cleveland women, 32 and 36, respectively, after $841 worth of fragrance products was stolen from Bath & Body Works, 379 Boardman-Poland Road. One woman was charged with theft; the second faced charges of complicity to theft and obstructing official business when she gave a false name, police said.

Sept. 15

Arrest: Youngstown police handed a 42-year-old Lisbon man to Boardman authorities. He was wanted on one count of passing bad checks, as well as other charges.

Misuse of a credit card: Officers charged a 46-year-old Campbell woman with receiving stolen property and misuse of a credit card after she was accused of using at the Southern Park Mall a credit card stolen from a Struthers woman.

Criminal damaging: A man found a broken storm window at a residence he owns in the 100 block of Newport Drive.

Assault: A man called police after being struck in the face at his home in the 5600 block of Southern Boulevard.

Burglary: A woman discovered a gold ring, a wedding band and $180 stolen after someone entered her Carter Circle residence. The loss came to about $8,450.

Misuse of a credit card: A credit card stolen from a Boardman business was used on several occasions to pay for $759 worth of gasoline.

Theft: Someone removed a 27-inch TV from a residence in the 4800 block of Southern Boulevard.

Assault: A woman was not injured after reporting she was assaulted at her apartment in the 5000 block of Aravesta Avenue.

Theft: A motorist pumped $20.20 worth of gasoline and left a Get Go station, 6911 South Ave., without paying.

Burglary: A woman told police someone kicked in a rear basement window to her father's Straley Avenue home before taking a TV, a DVD player and antique coins.

Sept. 16

Theft: A $1,200 laptop computer belonging to a Tenafly, N.J., company was stolen from a business in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A man stole four items valued at a total of $47.50 from Walgreens Pharmacy, 525 E. Midlothian Blvd.

Criminal mischief: A Brookwood Road woman found her vehicle’s rear windshield was smashed.

Fraud: A Caribou Drive woman told authorities someone in North Carolina made a $4,505 unauthorized purchase with her credit card.

Menacing: A worker for a McDonald’s restaurant, 15 Boardman-Canfield Road, told police an irate customer threatened to harm her as well as the business when asked to fill out a form for a refund.

Auto theft: A Willard, Ohio, man reported his 1999 Hyundai Accent stolen while he was staying at a Market Street motel.
