Route 224 in Boardman reopened

BOARDMAN — U.S. Route 224 reopened about 1:30 p.m. today.

It had been closed between Mill Creek Park and Lockwood Boulevard for about an hour after crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation who were installing a traffic signal hit a gas line and ruptured it.

The road had been closed as a precaution.
