Going the extra mile
to honor a driver

BERLIN CENTER — Roadway is honoring Al Adams of Berlin Center today for his achievement of driving 3 million accident-free miles. Without his knowledge, a police escort was being arranged to take Adams to work at the Roadway terminal in Copley, outside Akron. Roadway employees, friends and family are to be there to greet him. He is to receive various awards honoring his dedication to safety. Adams has worked for Roadway for 35 years.

district vice president

BOARDMAN — The Ohio Association of Realtors has named Tom Williams of Boardman to the position of OAR district vice president. Five district vice presidents were elected to two-year terms by OAR directors during the OAR’s annual convention last week in Columbus. Williams is associated with Eaton Group Inc./GMAC Real Estate in Boardman. As District 1 vice president, Williams will represent members of the Ashtabula County, Beavercreek Area, Portage County, Stark County, Warren Area and Youngstown Columbiana associations of Realtors.
