CANFIELD CITY

Sept. 10

Theft: Approximately 3,000 to 4,000 coins were reported stolen from the coin machine for washing machines at Carriage Hill apartments.

Drug abuse: A 38-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on drug abuse charges after police said they found a marijuana plant with multiple bulbs in his car on East Main Street and Hood Drive.

Theft: A golf club set was reported stolen from a garage in the 20 block of Montgomery Court.

Burglary: A set of golf clubs was reported stolen from a home in the 200 block of Talsman Drive.

Sept. 13

Toy gun at school: The principal at Hilltop Elementary, 400 Hilltop Blvd., received calls from parents and called in the juvenile officer after a 10-year-old pupil brought a replica of a gun to school and showed it to another pupil.

Sept. 15

Identity theft: Money was spent using the victim’s debit card.

Arrests: Police arrested an 18-year-old Canfield man in the 200 block of Glenview Avenue for possession of drug paraphernalia after finding a plastic bottle used as a makeshift bong, and arrested seven juveniles on charges of either sale of liquor to a minor or underage use of tobacco.

Sept. 10

Disorderly conduct: A man was placed in county jail on charges of disorderly conduct after being arrested in the 5000 block of Callaway Circle.

Burglary: An apartment in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive was robbed but there were no signs of forced entry.

Theft: One thousand gallons of fuel was stolen at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Medication was stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.

Theft: A woman’s wallet was taken at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A Dixie Chopper and trailer were stolen from the Rental Corral, 5020 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A Kodak digital camera was stolen from a home in the 50 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Theft: A Gateway computer was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Theft: Two speakers in a box were stolen from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: Patrons walked out on a food bill of $42.63 at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave.

Prowler: A prowler was reported in the 100 block of Ohltown Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle door was dented at a home in the 5000 block of South Saratoga Avenue.

Sept. 12

Fraud: An invalid credit card was used to purchase fuel at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Criminal damaging: Two tires were cut on a vehicle at a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.

Theft: A man and a woman were arrested on charges of theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Assault: An unknown black male threw a rock at a 56-year-old victim in the woods west of the 90 block of North Turner Road.

Drug offense: An Austintown man was arrested on charges of aggravated trafficking in cocaine and marijuana at a home in the 400 block of Thatcher Lane.

Burglary: A television and a DVD player were taken from a home in the 100 block of Idaho Road.

Theft: Checks were reported taken from a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: A man was issued a summons for theft at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: $13.25 in fuel was taken at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Stolen license plates were reported in the 3800 block of New Road.

Theft: A compact disc player and MP3 player were stolen from a vehicle at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Criminal damaging: A tire was cut in the carports in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.

Theft: A Coach purse and prescriptions were stolen at the Dog House, 1181 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Criminal damaging: A window and siding were damaged by rocks at a home in the 100 block of Russell Avenue.

Theft: An Ohio temporary license tag was stolen from a vehicle at Kentucky Fried Chicken, 4642 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Clothing items were taken at Stork’s Landing, 3649 Canfield Road.

Sept. 14

Breaking and entering: Green Leaf, 1430 S. Canfield-Niles Road was broken into.

Theft: A bicycle was stolen from apartments at Compass West.

Identity theft: An account was opened with Ohio Edison in the victim’s name at a home in the 5000 block of Barkley Street.

Theft: $27.20 in fuel was taken at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: A female victim’s purse was stolen at the Ice House Inn, 5516 W. Webb Road.

Obstructing official business: A woman gave false identification to an officer at Seventy-Six Drive and State Route 46.

Theft: $25.05 in gasoline was stolen from Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Receiving stolen property: A man was arrested on charges of receiving a stolen 1999 Ford Escort from Concord, N.H., and driving with no Ohio license at Mahoning Avenue and Four Mile Run Road.

Theft: Clothing items were stolen from a garage in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Theft: Swings were stolen from a home in the 7000 block of Ruby Court.

Theft: A woman was issued a summons for theft at Dollar General, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A female attempted to return stolen items at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Sept. 16

Theft: A man stole headphones at Walgreens, 5501 Mahoning Ave., and was placed in county jail for criminal trespassing.

Auto theft: A vehicle was taken from a driveway in the 2000 block of North Redgate Lane. The keys were in the vehicle.

Burglary: A pearl necklace was stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of North Raccoon Road.

Lost or stolen property: A Motorola cell phone was either lost or stolen in the area of state Route 46 and Interstate 80.

Theft: Gasoline was taken from a vehicle at a home in the 2000 block of Bainbridge Avenue.
